Dear R,
The blog lives! Hooray! Haha, anyway, today I had intended to make sea salt caramel macarons! :0 fancy I know. Unfortunately, I'm sad to say that because I'm such an amateur baker, macarons are quite technical and difficult to master. So on my first try, they did not turn out exactly how I would have hoped. But not to worry, I am determined to make a second batch in the near future! However, my caramel sauce for the macarons turned out much better hehehe. In case you didn't know, I have a slight obsession with caramel. It's one of three ingredients that I absolutely adore. ((the other two would be chocolate & green tea)) :D
I was a little worried I would burn the sauce but thankfully it turned out alright! Since after adding the cream and cooling the sauce, it was still thin, so I put it in the fridge for a while and then it thickened. Now you can use it for so many different things like brownies/cheesecake/pies, apple dipping, hot chocolate/coffee spoonfuls, the list goes on. So, if you ever have time, make some caramel sauce! :)
